Well, thanks to Keegan who aroused me from inactiveness with his 5randomthingsaboutmyself thing, which he conveniently tagged unto me, i have to say 5 random things about myself. Seeing as how no one reads this blog i am afraid it will be a dead end here, for i won't be able to tag anyone else. But fear not! I still have my friendster blog! Still have a lot of victims there.
1. I whistle.
I whistle. If you are a neighbour of mine, or a former neighbour of mine.... ah heck. If you live anywhere around the vicinity of a 10 meter radius within me you will know that for a fact and curse me for it. Ever since i left the brassband i have this urge to flesh tunes ringing in my head. And since i can't sing for peanuts i whistle it and since i have been whistling for 5 years now. Therefore i can be shrill. And i still can't whistle a tune nicely. I can only do it shrilly. And annoyingly. Very annoyingly. Be afraid.
2. I like quirky quotes for nicknames.
Well some people likes their MSN nicknames to be simple, but i like mine adourned with a phrase that doesn't make much sense, or delivers a rather useless philosophical advice, or just plain nonsense. Sarcasm preferred. My first ever nickname was "SagelyNoddingTeddyBear". Which drew protests from friends complaining that it was too gay. Whatever. Currently i am using "Congradulations! You are unique, just like everyone else." Personal favourite was used by a friend in Germany, titled "WARNING! Trespassers will be shot. Survivors will be nursed back to health, then shot again." Ahhh, nicknames. Fun stuff.
3. I do not like the war of genders, or stereotypical stuff.
I have to echo Keegan here, i hate labels. All those crap about how "real men" should act or how guys are not supposed to cry, or how there is a set of rules on how men and women should act. And my personal anathaema:" It is wrong for a guy to slap a girl, but if a girl slaps a guy, he probably deserves it." Biggest load of crap i have ever heard of. A person should act as s/he sees fit depending on a situation. If it feels good to cry, let loose! If a girl doesn't want to get married young, don't! If a guy doesn't want to open the door for the lady, don't condemn him. He doesn't owe the lady anything. Unless of course, if he does owe her something. Then that would be different. That would be a debt between individuals. Nothing to do with a person's gender.
4. I try to play back songs in my head.
You know how when you have listened to a song 7 times and it is embedded firmly in your psyche? When i hardcore on songs like that i can play it back in my head. No radio needed. And since it is all in my head anyway, there is no pesky reality interfering with the song's perceived greatness. If you walk by and you see me tapping on the table or chair or my leg or available surface, it will most likely be me playing a song in my head and i am trying to play the imaginary song on the imaginary piano keyboard. And if you see me puckering up my lips then be prepared to run. I am about to whistle. Well, at least the whistling isn't imaginary.
5. Me!
Mwahahahaha i try to be random. Make innane comments while feeling high in a conversation constitutes an abrupt past-time for me. Occasionaly i would open a conversation with an unsuspecting victim, or someone who is unfortunate enough to open one for me. The poor person will be treated to a weird sentence with no sense and i will yammer on about nothing in particular. But even when i am normal(heh) i still like the concept of randomness. I like the idea of a wildcard in every plan, a sense that everywhere, anywhere, something out of the blue might happen. It also helps that the most interesting cases in life are the random ones, or the ones that doesn't fit into any category. I love it when i read about some species that they discovered that doesn't fit into any phyla or classes or whatever. Bewildering the hell out of conventional thought is what i like to read about.
Aaaand that concludes the 5 random things about me. Enjoy your day.
