Whim

These few days i have been acting on whim. Been acting less on a rigid, rational analysis of a situation and more on instinct and whim. And i have been having fun so far. Take for example, 3 days ago. I was back from school, then i spotted this corridor corner on the corridor of my apartment. It has been there for the entire duration of my stay here (7 months) and i never thought about exploring the rest of the place. Well, out of whim, i did. It was as if there was this switch that went off in my head and i just suddenly decided that i wanted to explore the place, nevermind that i am tired, sweaty, parched and have my heavy bag with me. I was rewarded though, because i found this concrete space, more of a huge balcony, actually, where you can gaze at the stars perfectly. Which is nice since Mooncake festival is coming up and i feel like going out to some open space and stare at the stars.

And then there was yesterday. I was staring at the open balcony and there was a piece of hard paper near me. Stared at the balcony, stared at the paper, glanced at the balcony again then picked up the paper. 10 minutes later a paper plane flew out the balcony, made a perfect dive and hit a tree, rebounded and landed on the road. Then a tram ran over it. Heh. Normally i am much more environmental and what not. But that night... everything out the window. Damn, i submit to urges now. I know it is wrong but ever since i came here and notice i have this high balcony that opens up to a big wide space i have an itch to throw a barrage of paper planes all over the place. Seems like such a waste of oppurtunity not to. Sigh.

And now my latest act of whim: running over to CheeSings house to borrow a cake mould at 2am on a friday night. haha. Thats all for tonight.
