So when Lai asked me out to the library i took this oppurtunity to discuss story ideas with him. It turns out that he is actually there to do some Form 6 Biology project. I hope he has more fun than my Trisomy 16 one. At least he gets to look through books with pretty (disgusting) yet fascinating pictures with bugs and beetles. Anyway, i was feeling pretty awkward, because i didn't want to disturb him.
But that guy just sat me down at one of the tables and we hit it off. I showed him my ideas, he shows me his ideas, we exchange news, and i take out a piece of paper for plot discussion. And we got more and more animated. It must have been a pretty strange sight. Two guys sitting there on a tiny table surrounded by Insect books, chatting and waving about, pointing excitedly and gesturing wildly while working on a piece of paper. People must think we rediscovered an extinct bug in Malaysia or something.
Its funny how getting another's perspecctive on something help you clear things up. Up till now, i have been reluctant about a certain idea i had, because i was stuck. Then, somehow, putting it on paper and mind maps gave the story a push. And Lai gave me a lot of suggestions he has. And the thing flew. So fun. I also noticed that i often have a lot of ideas for Lai's storylines, while he has a lot for mine. Perfect partnership i guess.
Well, after that we sorta packed up and left. I wonder if the guy did any work at all. Hope i didn't cost him anything. Bit anti-climatic right?
Current Mood: Slightly elated. Swaying to music.
